Finding my unfinished book

A little backstory is in order before talking about this unfinished book. I have an older brother, who was always writing. He always said, "one day" he was "going to get published." However, he never got anything published. He would start a project/book and get 'writer's block' then move on to the next project. He would never finish any of his books. In fact, at one point, he started writing a comic book that he asked me to draw. It was a project that we were supposed to work on together.

Then there is my younger sister. She got her BA in some sort of English studies. A few years ago, she posted on GoFundMe.com, that she was going to do the same and write a book. She never did publish that book.

I thought to myself, "it shouldn't be that hard to get a book published" or self-published. I wanted to see if it was really that hard to accomplish. I see people writing books and getting them published all the time. Books, that I believe, have no business being published. I mean, look at the Twilight Saga. So, I set out to do just that, get a book published.

About a year or two ago, I started writing a science fiction book. I got two chapters written out. However, I got sidetracked building out an AI infrastructure that would take my writing and turn the text-to-speech to sound like Master Chief is reading my book. Got that project completed, laughed about it for an hour or two, and then forgot about the book.

That seems to be my problem with a lot of the things I start. I get really into the project, get another idea for that project. Then I would get sidetrack testing out that new idea. It is to the point where I either lose interest or keep getting sidetrack that I forget what I was doing it for in the first place.

So, in order to fix that, I am going to be completing this book here on this site. I will publish each chapter. The chapters will be raw, mostly unedited. I thought it would be cool for people to read the first draft of a book and be able to make fun of it or make suggestions. I hope that my readers enjoy the ride.
